FRSC Promotes Three to Deputy Corps Marshal Ranks

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the elevation of three senior officers to the rank of Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM), following approval by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.

The newly promoted officers—Aliyu Datsama, Pauline Olaye, and Attahiru T. Hassan—are appointed to fill leadership vacancies in the North-West, South-East, and North-East geopolitical zones, respectively.

According to a statement by FRSC Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Olusegun Ogungbemide, the promotions mark a significant boost in strengthening the Corps’ operational and strategic leadership. DCM Datsama, previously in charge of Special Duties and External Relations, brings vast field experience from multiple command roles.

DCM Olaye, who now becomes the highest-ranking female officer in the Corps, currently heads the Project Implementation Office at FRSC Headquarters. Her appointment highlights the Corps’ commitment to gender inclusion and leadership excellence.

Meanwhile, DCM Attahiru Hassan, known for his background in technical services and discipline enforcement, has held key positions including Corps Provost and Sector Commander.

The SGF praised the trio as seasoned professionals, stating their promotion aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which rewards diligence and competence. Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed also congratulated the new DCMs and encouraged other officers to remain loyal and dedicated as more opportunities will arise.
