George Orwell’s iconic fable Animal Farm to the big screen as a feature animation. Known for its sharp critique of authoritarianism, corruption, and exploitation, Orwell’s tale follows a group of farm animals who rebel against their oppressive human owners, only to find themselves trapped under a new form of oppression by their own kind.
The animation promises a star-studded cast, with Seth Rogen, Steven Buscemi, Gaten Matarazzo, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner, and Iman Vellani lending their voices to the project. The cast includes well-known actors from popular series like Stranger Things, Orange Is the New Black, and Ms. Marvel.
Directed by Andy Serkis, known for his transformative work in motion capture, the film is produced by Adam Nagle, Dave Rosenbaum, Jonathan Cavendish, and Serkis himself, with Harrelson and Matt Reeves serving as executive producers. The production will be handled by Aniventure, known for Hitpig and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank, and The Imaginarium, the company co-founded by Serkis and Cavendish.
