Igoche Mark, has congratulated Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida on his appointment as the non-executive board chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited.
Kida, who also serves as the president of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as part of a broader restructuring of the NNPC Limited board.
Mark praised Kida’s selection, calling it a “remarkable achievement” and highlighting his extensive experience in the oil industry. “With over forty years in the sector, his expertise is invaluable for this critical role,” Mark stated.
He encouraged Kida to apply the leadership skills he honed in basketball administration to the energy sector, emphasizing that his background as a player and administrator will serve him well.
Mark also referenced President Tinubu’s ambitious energy targets, including raising oil production to two million barrels per day by 2027 and three million by 2030, along with boosting gas output. “I have no doubt that Engr. Kida has the vision and determination to exceed these goals,” he said.
The appointment is expected to bring fresh leadership to NNPC Limited, with Kida set to play a crucial role in Nigeria’s energy sector transformation.
