By Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate deployment of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to rescue Afenifere youth leader, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, who was kidnapped over a week ago while traveling to Abuja.
The directive follows the release of a distressing video in which Ojajuni is seen pleading for a N100 million ransom to secure his freedom from his captors.
In response, the police have intensified efforts to track down the kidnappers and ensure the victim’s safe return. Security operatives are prioritizing intelligence gathering and tactical operations to locate him.
Confirming the order, Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, assured the public that law enforcement agencies are fully committed to resolving the situation.
Reports indicate that Ojajuni has been shot by his abductors, raising further concerns about his safety and the urgency of the rescue mission.
The police urge anyone with relevant information to come forward as they work towards bringing the perpetrators to justice and securing Ojajuni’s release.
