A coalition of Ijaw, Urhobo, and Itsekiri political and business leaders has thrown its support behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, launching the Ijaws, Urhobos, and Itsekiris 4 Tinubu 2027 Organisation.
Led by Warri-born business mogul Chief Anthony Prest Tosan, the group aims to mobilize support across the three ethnic groups, emphasizing Tinubu’s policies and economic vision.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, Tosan, who serves as the chairman and national coordinator, described Tinubu’s leadership as a “bloodless revolution” aimed at freeing Nigeria from economic and political dependence on foreign powers.
“President Tinubu is committed to fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. His leadership represents a beacon of hope for a future where Nigeria can truly achieve self-determination and prosperity,” Tosan stated.
The coalition plans to engage grassroots communities, business stakeholders, and political groups to strengthen support for Tinubu’s second-term ambitions.
The launch marks the latest effort by regional leaders to consolidate political backing for the president ahead of the 2027 elections.
