Global urban mobility platform inDrive has launched a set of safety guidelines to help Nigerian customers enhance the security and efficiency of their deliveries. The initiative comes as the company experiences rapid growth in person-to-person (P2P) and business-to-business (B2B) deliveries across the country.
The safety measures include selecting reputable couriers, labeling packages correctly, noting item fragility and weight, and choosing suitable transport vehicles. Customers are also advised to document packages with photos, use recycled wrapping materials, and personally deliver high-value items like electronics, jewelry, and cash.
inDrive’s analysis of 5,000 customer comments in 2024 revealed key delivery trends, with food (17%) leading the list, followed by clothing (15%), electronics (10%), documents (4%), and medicine (2%). Notably, unique deliveries included traditional meals, event fabrics, a bonsai tree, a PlayStation 5 disc, and even excavator keys.
Senior Business Development spokesperson Timothy Oladimeji highlighted the company’s commitment to security, noting that P2P deliveries have tripled while B2B deliveries have expanded sixfold. He urged users to remain vigilant when sending valuable items.
The safety tips are now accessible via inDrive’s mobile app, reinforcing the company’s focus on secure and efficient logistics in Nigeria.
