Abba Yusuf, has signed three new bills into law following their passage by the State House of Assembly.
The newly enacted laws include the Kano State Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (Amendment) Law, 2025, the Kano State Centre for Disease Control and Prevention Law, 2025, and the Kano State Security Neighborhood Watch Law, 2025.
Governor Yusuf signed the bills during the 25th Kano State Executive Council meeting at the Government House.
His spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the development in a statement, highlighting the significance of these laws in improving transport, public health, and security in the state.
Speaking at the event, Yusuf reiterated his administration’s commitment to enhancing governance and ensuring rapid socioeconomic development.
The new laws are expected to strengthen infrastructure, public health systems, and community security initiatives across Kano State.
