Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered an immediate halt to the ongoing demolition exercise in Rimin Zakara community, Ungogo Local Government Area, following a violent clash between residents and security agents. The incident, which occurred during the demolition led by Bayero University, Kano (BUK), resulted in three deaths and left several others injured.
During a visit to the community on Thursday, Governor Yusuf expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and promised state support, including covering medical bills for the injured. The governor’s intervention aims to prevent further violence and address the grievances of the affected residents.
