The initiative aims to enhance transparency and accountability in salary administration.

The verification exercise is designed to authenticate staff records, eliminate payroll discrepancies, and ensure that only recognized employees receive salaries. This move is part of the government’s broader efforts to prevent financial leakages and strengthen the efficiency of the civil service payroll system.

During the inspection, the SSG emphasized the importance of the validation process, stating that it is essential for maintaining a transparent and accountable payroll system. He assured civil servants that their salaries would be paid before the upcoming Sallah celebration, provided they participated in the verification exercise.

Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, Head of the Civil Service, highlighted the significance of proper salary administration in governance. “This verification ensures that civil servants are accurately captured in the system, allowing for prompt and rightful salary payments,” he stated.

The initiative has received widespread support from civil servants undergoing the verification process. Many employees expressed optimism that the exercise would promote fairness and efficiency in salary disbursement while eliminating fraudulent claims.

With the government committed to improving payroll management, the ongoing verification exercise is expected to enhance workforce accountability and streamline salary payments across the state.
