Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State is actively seeking international partnerships to boost investments in agriculture, energy, and technology. The governor’s efforts were showcased at the 2025 Oxford Africa Business Forum, held at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, where he served as a guest speaker.
During his keynote address, Governor Radda emphasized the state’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment through strategic policy reforms. “We have implemented significant policy reviews to ensure our state has the required frameworks, regulations, and refined institutions to expedite development and ease of doing business,” he stated.
A major highlight was Katsina’s Climate Smart Agriculture Policy, designed to enhance food security while tackling the impacts of climate change. The governor explained, “Our pilot program is designed to reduce the effect of climate change and climate-induced conflict on agriculture, ensuring long-term resilience.”
Governor Radda also stressed the importance of Africa’s youth and technological advancement in his panel discussion titled “Strength in Unity: The Power of African Domestic Collaboration.” He emphasized, “Leveraging our youth and embracing technology are crucial steps toward ensuring Africa thrives in the 21st century.”
The governor’s participation has sparked discussions with foreign investors, development finance institutions, and Oxford University to support projects in Katsina. Preliminary talks explored partnerships for executive education and public service training aimed at improving governance in the state.
