Kebbi APC Backs Tinubu for 2027 Re-Election

President Bola Tinubu gained stronger political backing in the North as the Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declared its support for his second term at a massive rally in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Led by Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Bagudu, and Governor Nasir Idris, party leaders praised Tinubu’s administration for initiating numerous federal projects in the state within his first two years in office. They said the president’s efforts justified their endorsement for his re-election bid.

The APC also officially adopted Governor Idris as its candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial election, citing his leadership and the state’s development under his tenure.

Highlighting over 40 federal projects worth more than N600 billion in Kebbi, Bagudu described Tinubu’s impact as unprecedented, particularly in agriculture, health, and education.

“President Bola Tinubu has shown that he is a visionary leader with enormous capacity to carry everyone along. He promised to be president for all, and he has practicalized that in all his dealings in the last one and a half years,” Bagudu told the crowd at Haliru Abdu Multipurpose Stadium.

Key projects cited include the N428.3 billion Sokoto (Ilela-Badagry) Superhighway, N39.6 billion Biu-Kangiwa-Kamba-Gaya-Niger Republic Road, N86.3 billion Malando-Garin Baka-Ngaski-Wara Road, and the N13.7 billion Koko-Besse-Zaria-Kala Road.
