A legal firm, Indemnity Partners, has disowned a viral letter circulating on social media, which claimed to come from the firm regarding a past dispute between Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and her husband, High Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan.
The letter, which suggested there was a serious quarrel between Natasha and her husband before their marriage, surfaced after Natasha accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual harassment. The timing of the letter’s appearance raised suspicions of political interference.
In a statement signed by senior lawyer BC Igwilo, SAN, Indemnity Partners made it clear that they never issued the controversial letter, describing it as fake and malicious.
“We are solicitors for Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and we categorically state that the letter did not originate from our firm,” the statement read. The firm warned that legal action could follow against those spreading the false document.
The letter’s sudden appearance has further fueled political tension surrounding the sexual harassment allegations, with some viewing it as a coordinated attempt to discredit Natasha’s claims and weaken her credibility.
As the controversy grows, both Natasha and her legal team have urged the public to ignore the fake letter and focus on the facts surrounding her allegations against Akpabio.
