By The President and Founder of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, attended the maiden convocation ceremony of Al-Istiqama University in Sumaila, Kano State. The event took place on Saturday.
Prof. Gwarzo, who also serves as the President of the Association of African Private Universities (AAPU), led a delegation from Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria to witness the historic occasion.
During the ceremony, he congratulated the university’s proprietor, Senator Abdulrahman Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila, along with the management and staff, for reaching this significant milestone. He acknowledged their efforts in advancing education in Nigeria.
Addressing the graduating students, Prof. Gwarzo commended them for successfully completing their studies. He encouraged them to uphold the values instilled in them by the institution.
He urged the graduates to be good ambassadors of both Al-Istiqama University and Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of character and professionalism in their future endeavors.
The convocation marked a new chapter for the university, which continues to gain recognition for its contributions to higher education in the country.
