Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle, led a Nigerian delegation to the Latin America Aerospace and Defence (LAAD) Exhibition 2025 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, reaffirming the country’s commitment to strengthening global defence cooperation.
The biennial event, a key platform for military technology and security partnerships, allowed Nigeria to engage with leading defence manufacturers and explore cutting-edge innovations.
Matawalle, in a statement by his aide Ahmad Dan-Wudil, said the participation aligns with the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes modernizing the Nigerian armed forces to tackle security challenges.
The LAAD Exhibition showcased advancements in aerospace, cybersecurity, and military hardware, positioning Nigeria to enhance its defence strategy through strategic collaborations.
