By Senator David Umahi, has called on Muslims across Nigeria to pray for President Bola Tinubu’s success and rally behind his reelection bid for the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking at his residence in Abakaliki on Sunday night while breaking the Ramadan fast with the Muslim community in Ebonyi State, Umahi expressed confidence in the administration’s progress. He assured Nigerians that President Tinubu’s leadership is already transforming the country and will bring prosperity in the coming years.
“In your prayers, please pray for the President, for his success, for all the great work he is doing because he came in the name of God and God has shown himself so mighty strong for our President,” Umahi said.
He further emphasized that the challenges facing the country were already being overcome, stating, “Things are turning around, God is showing himself so strong in our administration, and the worst is over. God is helping us mightily and marvelously.”
The former Ebonyi State governor also urged prayers for Governor Francis Nwifuru, praising his inclusive leadership that has fostered peace and unity in the state.
“The Governor of Ebonyi State has brought peace; no more opposition in Ebonyi State. Only APC is in Ebonyi State, he has brought everybody on board,” Umahi stated. He added that prayers should be offered for Nwifuru to complete his tenure successfully and secure reelection.
Leaders of the Muslim community in the state, including Alhaji Danjuma Gambo, and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) chairman, Rev. Scamb Nwokolo, commended Umahi for his commitment to religious unity. They pledged their continued support and prayers for President Tinubu and Governor Nwifuru.
