MTN Nigeria, the country’s largest telecom provider, has begun implementing a data price increase following the Nigerian Communications Commission’s (NCC) approval of a 50% tariff adjustment.
The company defended the hike, stating that rising operational costs, inflation, and currency devaluation have made it necessary to sustain operations and maintain service quality. MTN assured customers that the adjustment is aimed at ensuring a stable and efficient network.
