The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Anti-corruption Committee, Professor Babafemi A. Badejo, has commended NBA President Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, for his courageous efforts in fighting corruption and holding the government accountable.
In a statement titled *‘The NBA is Rising Up to its Motto,’* Prof. Badejo praised the current NBA leadership for living up to the association’s motto, *“Promoting the Rule of Law.”* He emphasized that corruption undermines the rule of law, stating, “The more corruption there is, the less rule of law we have.”
Prof. Badejo also highlighted President Osigwe’s commitment to tackling corruption by appointing trusted NBA members to the Anti-corruption Committee. He assured that the committee would work hard to meet expectations and contribute to the fight against corruption.
