NCC Launches New Weekly TV Show on Telecom Issues

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is bringing back its television presence with a new weekly programme called Telecom Weekly. This 30-minute show will offer in-depth coverage of the Nigerian telecommunications and ICT industry while providing important information to telecom consumers across the country.

Telecom Weekly will air every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. on NTA Network Services, which includes over 45 stations across Nigeria, including the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. All local NTA stations are expected to broadcast the show at this time.

In addition to the TV programme, a radio version will also be broadcast on Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. on the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Network, reaching all states across the country.

The NCC hopes the show will enhance its communication efforts, providing timely updates on developments in the telecommunications sector. The programme will simplify complex issues for everyday consumers and raise awareness about NCC’s regulatory activities.

Consumer feedback, gathered through events and interviews, will be included to help viewers and listeners better understand their telecommunications services. Expert opinions will also be featured to further inform the audience. Regular quiz segments with prizes will also be part of the programme, adding an interactive element.
