The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has dedicated its toll-free number 622 to help people report issues during the 2023 Presidential Election. This hotline will be available for voters and the public to report any problems they experience on election day, Saturday, February 25, 2023.
In a statement on Tuesday, NCC’s Executive Vice Chairman, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, said this move is to support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in ensuring the election goes smoothly.
Typically used for handling telecommunications complaints, the toll-free number will now be used to address any election-related issues, especially at voting centers. If any problems arise, the NCC will pass them on to the right authorities for quick resolution.
The Election Incident Hotline will be staffed by NCC officials and available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The NCC urges the public to use the 622 hotline to report any issues they encounter on election day.
