As two senior management staff of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) conclude their distinguished careers, colleagues have continued to praise their contributions during their tenure. Mallam Ibrahim Aliyu, former Head of Administration, and Chief Okechukwu Aninweke, former Head of Risk Management, retired upon reaching the mandatory age of 60. Their careers were marked by significant achievements and exemplary service to the Commission.
During a series of farewell events, NCC staff recognized Aliyu’s 26 years of dedicated service, which included his leadership as the Zonal Controller of the Lagos Office. Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Mr. Adeleke Adewolu, commended both retirees for their outstanding work, offering the collective gratitude of the NCC Board, management, and staff for their remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s telecommunications sector.
Director of Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement, Ephraim Nwokonneya, also lauded Aliyu and Aninweke for their integrity, commitment to civil service rules, and dedication to ensuring the sustainability of the telecom industry.
