NDLEA, Saudi GDNC Sign MoU to Combat Drug Trafficking

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) of Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their operational partnership and crack down on drug trafficking networks between both countries.

The agreement, signed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday, includes intelligence sharing, joint investigations, training programs, and operational support for NDLEA. Saudi Arabia will also provide logistics assistance and access to its training academy for NDLEA officers.

Speaking at the event, NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), who was accompanied by Director of Operations, Ahmed Sule Ningi, emphasized the significance of the deal.

“Today marks a particularly significant milestone—one that has been long overdue and holds immense importance for both our nations,” Marwa stated.

He added that the agreement will enhance collaborative efforts between the two anti-narcotics agencies, allowing both countries to tackle drug-related crimes more effectively through coordinated strategies.
