The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited more schools in Equatorial Guinea to conduct the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The newly accredited schools are located in Bata, the country’s largest city, adding to the existing exam centers in the region.
NECO exams are now conducted in multiple countries, including Benin Republic, Niger Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Equatorial Guinea, and Saudi Arabia.
Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, confirmed that an accreditation team assessed the schools’ readiness before granting approval.
He emphasized that the expansion aims to provide more students with access to standardized examinations.
Authorities in Equatorial Guinea have welcomed the move, highlighting its role in improving educational opportunities for students.
