Nigerian Army Opens 2025 Recruitment

The Nigerian Army has begun online registration for its 89th Regular Recruits Intake, targeting trades and non-tradesmen and women.

Announced via the Army’s official X handle, the recruitment process runs from March 31 to May 7, 2025. Interested candidates must apply through the official portal: recruitment.army.mil.ng.

Eligible applicants must be single Nigerian citizens with a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN). They must be physically and mentally fit, have no criminal record, and meet the age and height requirements: 18-22 years for non-trades personnel and 18-26 for trades personnel, with minimum heights of 1.68m (men) and 1.65m (women).

Educational qualifications include at least four passes in WASSEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB, while tradesmen/women must have a valid trade certificate. Birth and state of origin certificates are also required.

The Army emphasized that the recruitment process is free, warning against fraudulent payments. Successful recruits will receive career development opportunities, competitive pay, health insurance, and retirement benefits.

Shortlisted applicants will undergo screening from June 2-19, 2025, in their respective states. The Army also warned against fake documents, stating violators will be prosecuted.
