Nnamdi Kanu Accuses Judge of Bias, Links Trial to Corruption Cases Involving Her Family

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has accused Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, of presiding over his trial due to alleged corruption cases involving her husband and son. Kanu made the claims on Monday during his court appearance, alleging that the judge is using her position for personal gain.

In a viral video, Kanu stated, “Justice Binta Nyako is using her position for personal gain. Her son and her husband are facing corruption charges. They (the Nigerian government) told them that if they convict me, they will free the son and the husband.”

While Kanu did not provide specific details, it is known that Murtala Nyako, a former governor of Adamawa State, and his son, Senator Abdulaziz Nyako, were previously prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a N29 billion fraud case.

Kanu’s allegations have sparked controversy, raising questions about the impartiality of his trial and the integrity of the judicial process.
