The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), through its subsidiary NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML), has pledged a steady supply of gas to Starzs Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facility at competitive rates.
In addition, NNPCL has secured a 15% equity stake in Starzs Gas Limited’s new CNG mother station in Iwhrekan, Delta State, with a capacity of two million standard cubic feet per day (2mmscf/d).
The partnership was officially announced at the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, attended by HRN Justin Ezeala, the Managing Director of NGML, who represented the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo.
This collaboration is expected to enhance gas distribution in the region and contribute to Nigeria’s energy infrastructure growth.
NNPCL’s involvement in the project further solidifies its commitment to advancing the country’s natural gas sector while expanding its role in the energy market.
With the new CNG station, the partnership is set to support sustainable energy solutions for the local community and beyond.
