Nollywood Icon RMD Praises Federal Government for Backing Creative Industry

 

Renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), has expressed his appreciation for the federal government’s support of the creative industry. RMD made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja.

 

During the meeting, RMD discussed his solo production, *Revelation*, and personally invited the Vice President to the premiere of his upcoming movie, *Radio Voice*, scheduled to debut in Lagos in April 2025.

 

RMD thanked the Vice President for his strong commitment to the Creative and Digital Economy, acknowledging his efforts to boost the industry. In response, Vice President Shettima praised RMD for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s film and entertainment sector, recognizing his role in shaping the country’s creative landscape.

 

The visit highlights the growing collaboration between the government and the creative industry, aiming to further develop Nigeria’s cultural and artistic potential.
