Following claims by elder statesman Chief Adebisi Akande that former Oyo State governor, Chief Rashidi Ladoja, might have information about the 2001 assassination of former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige, the Arewa Think Tank (ATT) has called on President Bola Tinubu to investigate unresolved high-profile killings in Nigeria.
Although Chief Ladoja has denied the allegations and threatened legal action against Akande, the Northern group, in a statement by its Chief Convener, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, said the dispute between the two leaders presents an opportunity to revisit past murders of prominent Nigerians.
The ATT urged President Tinubu to launch a probe into similar assassinations, including those of Harry Marshall and Dokubo, to ensure historical justice for the affected families.
