Ola Aina will be sidelined for a while due to a calf injury. Aina was forced off the pitch during Forest’s 1-0 victory over Manchester United at the City Ground on Tuesday night.
The 28-year-old was substituted by Alex Moreno just eight minutes into the second half and left the stadium on crutches. “He already did the scan, he will be out for a while, he’s not going to be available,” Nuno explained during a press conference.
Nuno expressed disappointment, calling it a “big blow” for the team. He highlighted Aina’s quality, talent, and the understanding he has developed with his teammates. “We’re gonna miss him,” he added. The injury is related to Aina’s calf, a setback that will keep him off the field for an undetermined period.
Aina has contributed two goals in 30 league appearances for the Tricky Trees since joining the club. His absence will be a significant challenge for the team as they continue their Premier League campaign.
