NSCIA Denounces False Claims Against Sultan

In a statement released by the Council’s Deputy National Legal Adviser, Imam Haroun Muhammad Eze, NSCIA clarified that the Sultan has been out of the country for two weeks and never made the alleged comment. The Council condemned the spread of misinformation, emphasizing the damage it could do to national unity and the reputation of the respected leader.

“It is unimaginable that such an eminent leader could have uttered such abominable statements,” the statement stressed, underscoring the credibility of the Sultan and the Council.

NSCIA expressed concern that false claims like this could fuel unrest and urged the public to verify information before sharing it. Imam Eze highlighted the need for discernment, especially in the digital age, where misinformation spreads rapidly.

The Council also called for unity, stating, “May Almighty Allah grant us peace and unity in Nigeria,” while urging citizens to resist divisive narratives.

This warning serves as a reminder to Nigerians to stay vigilant against fake news that could incite discord in the nation.
