The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has congratulated Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari on his recent appointment as the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement released on Wednesday, NYCN Vice President (North Central) and West Africa Coordinator of the Afro-Arab Youth Council, Amb. Akoshile Mukhtar, described the appointment as a well-earned recognition of Ojulari’s expertise, leadership skills, and extensive experience in the oil and gas sector.
“Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari’s appointment as the Group CEO of NNPCL is a well-deserved recognition of his competence and outstanding contributions to the energy sector. We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing merit in leadership selections,” Mukhtar said.
The NYCN also acknowledged the efforts of Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for his continuous investment in human capital development, which has enabled Kwarans to take up key positions at the national level.
Furthermore, the Council praised President Tinubu’s strategic leadership in ensuring that highly qualified individuals take on critical roles in national development, highlighting Ojulari’s appointment as proof of this commitment.
“With his wealth of experience, including his tenure as Executive Vice President and CEO of Renaissance Africa Energy, we are confident that Engr. Ojulari will introduce innovative strategies that will propel NNPCL to greater heights. His expertise in leading major acquisitions and promoting indigenous participation in the industry makes him well-equipped for the task ahead,” the statement added.
