By Ola Aina, has shared his list of top Afrobeats artists during a recent appearance on ‘The Inside Scope’ podcast. The Nottingham Forest player named Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, and Asake as his top four.
Explaining his choices, Aina placed Burna Boy at number one, praising his consistent hit-making ability. “Whatever he drops is going to bang. So that’s why he’s number 1,” he said.
Wizkid took the second spot, with Aina admitting that nostalgia almost put the “Essence” singer at the top. “Wizkid would have been first, but I think that would have just been the nostalgia kicking in because lately, he has been overtaken,” he added.
Davido ranked third, recognized for his prolific output. According to Aina, “He drops a lot of songs, so definitely, there would be a few bangers.”
Rounding off the list was Asake, whom Aina described as a rising star with great potential. “He makes hits. In a few years, he will be at the top,” he predicted.
Aina’s ranking has since sparked discussions among fans, adding to the ongoing debate about Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars.
