Dr. Olukayode Ajulo, has officially received the investigative report on the tragic road accident that claimed 30 lives in Ore earlier this month.
The report was presented by the state sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Samuel Ibitoye, who also used the occasion to congratulate Ajulo on his recent reappointment by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The deadly crash occurred on February 1, 2025, at Onipetesi along the Ore-Lagos Expressway. It involved two fully loaded commercial buses carrying a total of 32 passengers.
According to the FRSC report, both vehicles were speeding and violating traffic regulations. The GUO Transport Company bus, traveling from Lagos, was found to have dangerously driven against traffic, resulting in a catastrophic head-on collision with a Flight Transport Company bus coming from Gboko, Benue State, and heading to Lagos.
Dr. Ajulo expressed deep concern over the findings and emphasized the need for stricter enforcement of road safety regulations to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
