By Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has inaugurated the newly elected chairmen for the state’s 18 local government areas, urging them to start work immediately and meet public expectations.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at The Dome in Akure, Aiyedatiwa advised the new council leaders to stay connected with their communities, understand their struggles, and provide effective solutions.
The governor emphasized the importance of collaboration between the council chairmen, legislative councils, and career public servants to ensure smooth governance and accountability.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the newly established 33 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), stating that they were created by law to bring governance closer to the people.
Aiyedatiwa called for collective efforts to sustain the LCDAs, stressing that they must operate with inclusivity and mutual trust alongside the parent local governments.
With this move, the governor aims to strengthen grassroots governance and accelerate development across Ondo State.
