OSGF Denies Links to Corruption Allegations

Hon. Andrew Torhile Uchi, the Personal Assistant to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

Uchi is currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of bribery and money laundering. However, OSGF has made it clear that it has no connection to the case and remains committed to transparency and accountability.

In a statement released on Monday, OSGF’s Director of Information, Segun Imohiosen, reaffirmed the office’s commitment to ethical conduct. “The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is not in any way connected to the allegations against Hon. Andrew Torhile Uchi,” the statement read.

The OSGF also acknowledged the EFCC’s role in investigating the matter and emphasized the importance of due process. It urged the public to avoid speculation and allow the legal process to take its course.

“We recognize and support the work of the EFCC in upholding the rule of law. However, we appeal to the public to refrain from drawing premature conclusions as the investigation is still ongoing,” the statement added.

The OSGF assured Nigerians of its dedication to integrity in government affairs and appreciated the public’s patience and understanding regarding the case.
