Pantami, Danbatta, Eke Among Top 10 Tech Leaders in Nigeria

Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, and Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), have been named among the Worldex Top 10 Tech Leaders for Nigeria in 2022.

Joining them on the list are prominent industry figures like Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Technologies Limited; Karl Toriola, CEO of MTN Nigeria Communications Plc; and Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

Also honored are Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC); Mitchell Elegbe, Founder/CEO of Interswitch Group; John Obaro, CEO of SystemSpecs Nigeria Limited; Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Founder/CEO of Future Africa; and Olugbenga Agboola, CEO of Flutterwave Limited.

The Worldex Top 10 Tech Leaders list recognizes influential individuals from both the public and private sectors who are driving Africa’s ICT growth. Worldex, a global tech trade fair connecting Africa with the international tech community, will host its inaugural event in Abuja, Nigeria, in April 2023.

Since its first release in 2020, the Worldex list has highlighted key tech leaders across Africa. Initially covering eight countries, it expanded in 2021 to include Nigeria, South Africa, and Kenya. This year, the list will feature leaders from 12 African countries, showcasing the continent’s tech evolution and innovation.

The selection is managed by Alford Conferences Limited in partnership with tech journalists across Africa, celebrating those shaping the future of technology on the continent.
