By Governor, Peter Mbah, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) can reinvent itself and maintain its strong national appeal, despite the challenges it faces.
Governor Mbah made this remark while speaking at the PDP South East Zonal Congress held in Enugu on Wednesday. According to him, the strength of the PDP lies in its ability to adapt, evolve, and respond to the needs of Nigerians.
He also stressed the importance of the South East maintaining its position as a reliable stronghold for the party. “The South East must continue to be the bastion of the PDP, showing unwavering support and leadership within the party,” Mbah stated.
During the congress, delegates from across the zone gathered to elect a new zonal executive that will steer the party’s affairs in the region. In the end, Chief Ali Odefa was re-elected as the South East Zonal Chairman.
Mbah expressed confidence in the newly elected leadership, urging them to work hard to unite the party and position it strongly ahead of future elections.
The congress ended with a renewed commitment from party leaders to strengthen the PDP’s presence in the South East and work toward reclaiming power at the national level.
