By Chief Yekinni Adeojo, a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away. The respected Ibadan-born businessman and politician died in the early hours of Friday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Adeojo, who was also the Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, contested the 1999 Oyo State governorship election under the PDP, but lost to the late Alhaji Lamidi Adesina of the Alliance of Democracy (AD).
He was a founding member of the PDP in Oyo State and the father of Hon. Sheriff Aderemi Adeojo, the current Executive Chairman of Ido Local Government.
According to reports, the late politician and businessman will be laid to rest on Friday in Ibadan, with burial rites following Islamic tradition.
