By The founder of Remo Stars Football Club, Hon. Kunle Soname, has expressed gratitude after being named one of the recipients of the prestigious 5-Star Award. The award ceremony is set to take place on March 7th at Eko Club, Lagos.
Soname received the official award letter at his office in Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne Remo. He commended both the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and Newstap Media for recognizing his contributions to sports development in Nigeria.
While speaking, Soname explained that his work has always focused on securing the future by investing heavily in youth development through football. For him, supporting young talents is a way of building stronger communities for the future.
“Whatever anyone is doing to develop the youth and the community, such people will gain from it in the future,” Soname said, emphasizing the importance of long-term vision in sports investment.
He admitted that he prefers working behind the scenes rather than being in the spotlight. However, he appreciates this particular recognition because it comes from organizations he deeply respects.
Soname promised to remain committed to his passion for youth development and football growth, assuring that the award will only motivate him to do more for Nigerian sports.
