Sanwo-Olu, Ugandan Mayor For Lagos Summit

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Lord Mayor of Entebbe, Uganda, Fabrice Brad Rulinda, are among top dignitaries expected at the 2025 Lateef Jakande Leadership Summit, set to explore transformative leadership in Africa.

The summit, themed “Transformative Leadership: Developing Responsive, Adaptive, and Inclusive Models,” will host leading voices from government, business, and social impact sectors to share bold ideas that challenge traditional leadership models.

According to the executive secretary of the Lateef Jakande Academy, Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, this year’s gathering will spotlight inclusive and solution-driven discussions aimed at preparing leaders for modern-day governance and impact.

Speakers at the summit include Bode Agoro (Lagos State Head of Service), Hon. Rukayat Shittu (Kwara State House of Assembly), Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin (LAWMA), and Charles Odii (CEO, SMEDAN), among others.

“The conversations we are curating are intentionally inclusive, bold, and forward-facing,” Agbaje-Okunade said. “We want every attendee to leave inspired and equipped to lead wherever they are.”

The two-day event will also feature roundtables on themes such as youth and tradition in nation-building, women in leadership, redefining public service, and how young leaders are rewriting the narrative.
