Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan Mourns Victims of Kogi Auto Crash

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has expressed deep sorrow over a fatal road accident in Okene that claimed six lives and left five others injured.

In a statement through her Chief Press Secretary, Arogbonlo Israel, the Senator described the tragedy as “deeply disturbing,” offering heartfelt condolences to the bereaved and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.

“My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the injured. May the bereaved families find solace and strength in this difficult time,” she said.

Calling for greater adherence to road safety rules, Akpoti-Uduaghan stressed the importance of awareness among road users, especially commercial drivers, and urged authorities to investigate the crash and take preventive measures.

“The government must prioritise road safety and take concrete actions to ensure that our roads are safe for all users,” she added.
