By Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, has declared that the entire state remains his constituency, not just Zamfara West, as he distributed welfare packages across the region.
Speaking at his Talata Mafara residence, Yari emphasized that his commitment to the people extends beyond his senatorial zone, as he previously served as the state’s governor for two terms. He noted that he feels obligated to continue assisting the people of Zamfara.
“I was elected Governor of Zamfara State for two terms, so I think it is not wise for me to forget the people of the state when it comes to provision of welfare packages,” Yari stated.
He explained that his charity is motivated by faith rather than politics, adding that as a Muslim, he believes in extending help to everyone, regardless of political affiliation. “I will give Sadaqah (Charity) to everybody irrespective of political inclination because I want the Almighty Allah to be pleased with me,” he said.
During Ramadan, Senator Yari donated 496 trucks of assorted grains to support struggling households. He called on other wealthy individuals in the state to follow suit and assist the less privileged.
In his Sallah message, he urged the people of Zamfara to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and for lasting peace and unity in Nigeria.
