The Labour Party (LP) has strongly criticized Anambra State Governor, Dr. Chukwuma Soludo, over the gruesome murder of Hon. Justice Azuka, a lawmaker representing Onitsha 1 North Constituency in the State House of Assembly.
Azuka, a member of the Labour Party, was abducted by gunmen on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, while heading home along Ugwunaobankpa Road in Onitsha. Tragically, his decomposing body was discovered near the 2nd Niger Bridge the following day, sending shockwaves across the state.
Reacting to the incident, the Labour Party leadership accused Governor Soludo of failing to maintain law and order in the state, describing the assassination as a sign of worsening insecurity.
Residents and political leaders have expressed outrage, demanding swift justice for the slain lawmaker.
