Rep. Abdussamad Dasuki, the House of Representatives member representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in Sokoto State, has donated N100 million to support his constituents during the upcoming Ramadan season. The funds will be used to provide essential palliatives to ease the economic burden on Muslim faithful as they observe the holy month.
Dasuki presented the cheque to a 35-member Ramadan Palliatives Committee, comprising Imams and community leaders, on Friday in Sokoto. The committee will oversee the procurement and distribution of the palliatives, ensuring they reach those in need.
The lawmaker emphasized the importance of the initiative, citing the current economic challenges and the significance of Ramadan as one of the pillars of Islam.
