“Stay in PDP, You’re Not My Match” – Ned Nwoko Warns Delta Governor

Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North, has warned Governor Sheriff Oborevwori against following him to the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid speculation that the governor might switch parties.

Speaking at the APC national secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, shortly after being officially welcomed into the party by National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, Nwoko made it clear that he would not support Oborevwori’s defection.

I won’t welcome him if he decides to join. He is not my match in any way, Nwoko said.

The senator explained that he left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) because he wanted to work more closely with the federal government and was frustrated by the leadership in Delta State.

I got tired of being in a state where I felt like I was in opposition. I kept advising them on what to do, but they wouldn’t listen, he added.

His comments come amid growing political realignments in Delta State, with many watching to see if the governor will respond or make a move.
