By Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, has denied claims that she has stepped down from her position.
In response to the circulating rumors, her Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, clarified on Wednesday that Meranda is still actively carrying out her duties as Speaker.
“I’m in the office. The Speaker is in the office. I don’t know where that is coming from,” Ajiboye stated, dismissing the speculation.
He strongly refuted the claims, calling them baseless. “It is a lie from the pit of hell. There is no truth in the story,” he said.
Ajiboye further assured that nothing has changed in the leadership of the House. “I am doing my work as the CPS, the Speaker is in her office as we speak, and everybody is going about their business.”
He urged the public to disregard the false reports, emphasizing that Meranda has not resigned and has no intention of doing so.
