By Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam as the new Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company in Kogi State. The appointment takes effect from April 3, 2025, according to a statement by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Abdulsalam previously served as the Technical Adviser to the Minister of Steel Development and as Special Assistant (Academics) to the Director-General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS).
Tinubu urged the new MD to leverage his industry expertise to transform Ajaokuta Steel into a major driver of Nigeria’s industrial and economic development. The president emphasized that the appointment aligns with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda to position Nigeria as Africa’s industrial hub.
