President Bola Tinubu has appointed Prof. Patricia Manko Lar as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Yakubu Gowon University, Abuja (formerly University of Abuja) for a six-month term.
The appointment was announced in a statement by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, as part of leadership changes in federal universities.
Prof. Lar, a distinguished microbiologist, was born on January 1, 1964, in Langtang, Plateau State. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 1986.
