Adewale Ayuba, the renowned Fuji musician, is celebrating his 60th birthday today, March 25, 2025. President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt congratulations, acknowledging Ayuba’s immense influence on Nigeria’s Fuji music genre.
In a statement by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Ayuba as a cultural treasure whose music has resonated with generations of Nigerians. Since debuting as a Fuji singer at 17, Ayuba, also known as the Bonsue Fuji King, has remained a dominant force in the industry.
The president recalled the success of his 1991 album Bubble, which topped charts for months and earned numerous awards. He also praised Ayuba’s versatility as a singer, drummer, and actor, as well as his contributions to youth development through talent mentoring.
“Today, we celebrate an icon whose talent and dedication have brought joy to generations of Nigerians and Africans worldwide. Through his lyrics, Adewale Ayuba has etched his name in gold, standing as a formidable force in our cultural history,” Tinubu stated.
The president wished Ayuba long life and good health as he continues to inspire young entertainers and serve as a beacon of creativity for Nigerian youth.
