Donald J. Trump’s Senior Africa Advisor, Massad Boulos, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Paris on Thursday to explore a strategic economic and security alliance between the United States, Nigeria, and Africa.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga stated that discussions focused on fostering a partnership based on mutual respect, prosperity, and regional stability.
Boulos conveyed Trump’s keen interest in deepening U.S. engagement with Nigeria, emphasizing support for American investment, energy and infrastructure growth, and job creation on the continent.
The meeting also covered security issues in eastern DRC and the Sahel region, with both parties exchanging views on regional peace and actionable support.
Boulos hailed Nigeria’s continental leadership role and lauded Tinubu’s interventions to stabilize Africa’s troubled zones.
President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to transparent and productive alliances, saying the country is ready to strengthen Africa’s place in the global economy through collaboration with the U.S.
