President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire that engulfed an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on Tuesday night, claiming several lives.
In a statement by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday, Tinubu extended condolences to the families of the victims, the Zamfara State government, and the school’s management. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured and receiving treatment.
The President urged schools nationwide to prioritize children’s safety, directing education regulators to enforce strict safety standards.
He prayed for God’s comfort for the bereaved families and for the souls of the departed to rest in peace.
